Liberty University | Lynchburg, VA

I was approached by an audio company I met at Sonic-Con who offered me a paying job to do the sound design for a new series they are working on. I would highly recommend Sonic-Con to anyone looking to advance their career in this realm.

Sonic-Con kinda kick-started my career in VO and has been such a blessing to me with the connections I’ve formed thanks to it. Forever grateful!

9am-11am - Masterclasses

11am-1pm - Exhibition hall [meeting others, networking etc.]

2pm-5pm - Hands-on collaborative breakout sessions: the BRAINSTORM/FELLOWSHIP of the SCRIPT

THE BRAINSTORM

On Tuesday, after a morning of masterclasses, convention-goers will create fellowships - small groups of 10-12 along with an industry guest to head into the BRAINSTORM.

During the BRAINSTORM, the same prompt will be given to all fellowships with the goal of developing a short audio script that is unique to the fellowship and the ideas of its members.

With script in hand, the fellowship will head into the next part oft the journey - THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE SCRIPT…

FELLOWSHIP OF THE SCRIPT

With their industry “wizard” as their guide, each fellowship will embark on the full production of their script, including voice-over performance, directing, editing, and music composition.

On Thursday evening, each fellowship will showcase their work in the Tower Theater. Each unique spin on the prompt will allow for insights into the process of audio drama development and a lot of fun!

*no fingers will be lost in the journey to the Tower Theater.

7pm-8pm - Guest Speaker/Q&A
